About Us
The Gardens are on SW Oleson Road, between SW Hall and SW Scholls Ferry Roads
You may or may not know that there is a small group of intrepid gardeners who work at maintaining various planters and garden beds along Oleson Road – we are Garden Home Gardeners, formerly the Garden Home Crossing Committee. We volunteer to dig, weed, prune, and plant these gardens in order to help our neighborhood look its best.
We honor Terry Moore who was involved with seeing sidewalks, bike lanes and the planting areas in the center islands and both sides of the road were to be included with the SW Oleson Road improvement. She then insured the 'Garden' in Garden Home by putting together the Garden Home Crossing Committee for plantings within the 3 1/2 miles of SW Oleson Roads 'garden islands' which include the hanging baskets, numerous flowers such as daffodils and a multitude of bushes and trees.
(December 8, 1949 to June 13, 2014)
We are looking for you to volunteer for a garden work party! Stretch your legs early, bring your small garden tools, wear bright clothing, and come out to help keep Garden Homes Gardens beautiful.
